The purposes of this prayer are: Holiness/Righteousness and Humility.

Righteous God, we pray that you continue to look for us, and find us. In Isaiah we read, “Thus says the Lord: ‘Heaven is my throne and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is my resting place? All these things my hand has made, and so all these things are mine,’ says the Lord. ‘But this is the one to whom I will look, to the humble and contrite in spirit, who trembles at my word.” Isaiah 66:1–2 (NRSV). Lord of Hosts, we pray that you find us clothed in humility and that we always have due reverence for your word. We pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
