The Word of God

The purposes of this prayer are: Resist Temptation and Repentance.

All-knowing Merciful God, help us in our daily struggle to resist temptation. Help us to be mindful of what the author of Hebrews wrote, that “The word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12 (ESV). We can hide nothing from you, Lord. Help us to remember and to repent all of our sins. Amen.
