Thy Faithfulness is Unto All Generations

The purposes of this prayer are: Guidance/Purpose, Inspiration and Obedience.

Faithful Father, the psalmist extolled the benefits of your commandments and statutes, writing, “For ever, O Lord, thy word is settled in heaven. Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou has established the earth, and it abideth. They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants. Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.” Psalm 119:89–92 (KJV). Your commandments, Lord, are eternal, and we can always depend on them. You told the prophet Malachi that “I am the Lord, I change not,” Malachi 3:6 (KJV), so that we know that we can always depend on you. Our purpose in life, Heavenly Father, is to worship you and obey Jesus’ commandments. In our obedience to your will lies our eternal salvation. Amen.
