Glory of God

The purposes of this prayer are: Healing and Mercy.

Merciful Father, when we are suffering with illness, it is not easy to wait for your intercession from our afflictions. When Lazarus, the brother of Mary and Martha, became gravely ill, the sisters sent for Jesus, saying, “’Lord, he whom you love is ill.’ But when Jesus heard it he said, ‘This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.’” John 11:3–4 (ESV). Jesus, we pray for healing from our illnesses and we glorify you for curing our diseases. Thank you, Merciful Lord. Amen.
