121 Days of Prayer

The purposes of this prayer are: Illumination and Obedience.

Merciful Father, give us understanding so that we may grow our faith in Jesus. We want to comprehend all that we can about you. We want to do your will always. As the psalmist wrote, “Deal bountifully with your servant, that I may live and keep your word. Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of your law. I am a sojourner on the earth; hide not your commandments from me! My soul is consumed with longing for your rules at all times,” and also, “Give me understanding that I may keep your law and observe it with my whole heart.” Psalm 119:17–20, 34 (ESV). Lord, we want to grow closer to you each day. Teach us your ways. Amen.
