God Raised Jesus From the Dead

The purposes of this prayer are: Salvation, Gratitude and Spreading of the Gospel.

Merciful Father, the best news that anyone has ever heard and could ever hear is that you raised Jesus from the dead and that he sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within each believer thereby assuring each of us salvation for all eternity. Peter told his fellow disciples, “God raised Jesus from the dead, and we are all witness of this. Now he is exalted to the place of highest honor in heaven, at God’s right hand. And the Father, as he had promised, gave him the Holy Spirit to pour out upon us, just as you see and hear today.” Acts 2:32–33 (NLT). Peter told this to the assembled crowd of disciples in the Upper Room just after the Holy Spirit settled on each of them like tongues of fire. (verse 2:3). Lord, thank you for the gift of the Advocate, your Holy Spirit. Amen.
