Christ Redeemed Us from the Curse of the Law

The purpose of this prayer are: Salvation and Justification.

Holy God, under the old covenant, salvation was made possible for all Jews who obeyed the Law as promulgated through Moses. Under the new covenant, believers are saved through faith in Jesus as Paul explained: “That no one is justified by the Law before God is evident; for, ‘The righteous man shall live by faith.’ However, the Law is not of faith; on the contrary, ‘He who practices them shall live by them.’ Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us- for it is written, ‘cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree’- in order that in Christ the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we would receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Galatians 3:11–14 (NASB). Lord, Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross is why believers are justified before you. Our faith in Jesus allows us to be saved. Thank you, Jesus, for your redeeming blood. Amen.
