121 Days of Prayer

The purposes of this prayer are: Glorify God/Worship and Inspiration/Encouragement.

Majestic Lord, the psalmist urged the Israelites to praise and revere you, and only you, the One True God, for all other gods were idols, made by human hands: “Lord, your name endures forever, your reputation, Lord, through all generations. For the Lord will vindicate his people and have compassion on his servants. The idols of the nations are of silver and gold, made by human hands. They have mouths but cannot speak, eyes, but cannot see. They have ears but cannot hear, indeed, there is no breath in their mouths. Those who make them are just like them, as are all who trust in them. House of Israel, bless the Lord! House of Aaron, bless the Lord! House of Levi, bless the Lord! You who revere the Lord, bless the Lord! Blessed be the Lord from Zion; he dwells in Jerusalem. Hallelujah!” Psalm 135:13–21 (CSB). The psalmist assures us, Lord, that we who are your servants, we who are followers of Christ, we who worship the One True God as Father, Son and Holy Ghost, will be vindicated. Anyone who worships anything or anyone other than you, Father, worships an idol- conceived of by human minds and fabricated by human hands. Help us to remain true to your will, Lord. We ask in the name of Jesus. Amen.
